As an associate attorney at BrownWinick, I am able to serve clients across a wide range of industries. I am actively involved in the areas of Labor & Employment, Business & Corporate Transactions, Health Care Services, and Estate Planning, but I will work with you through any legal issues you may run into, regardless of the area of law it involves. I will ensure I provide advice unique to your situation and work to keep you fully informed.

My Approach

Although I am new to the practice of law, my work in Human Resources has taught me that nearly every business decision raises a legal concern. As your attorney, I strive to understand your objectives and challenges. My goal is to work collaboratively to present you with straightforward legal strategies and solutions to reach your goals.

More About Me

I am from Morton, Illinois—home to Libby’s Pumpkin and dubbed the pumpkin capital of the world—where we host a pumpkin festival full of pumpkin-flavored food, a pumpkin chucking contest, and a pumpkin parade. I went to college in Peoria, Illinois, where I graduated summa cum laude from Bradley University in 2018, receiving my B.S. in Human Resources Management with a minor in Business Law.

After graduation, I moved to Des Moines and worked as a Human Resources Generalist assisting employees with matters including, but not limited to, performance management, handbook disputes, FMLA, ADA, unemployment claims, employee grievances, and union disputes.

I then received my J.D., with highest distinction, from Drake University Law School in 2022. While at Drake, I was the Articles Editor of the Drake Law Review, a member of the Moot Court Board, a Student Ambassador, and a Study Group Leader. My student Note, Rubbing Salt in the Wound: Courts Requiring a Victim to Pay Alimony to their Abuser, was published in Volume 70 of the Drake Law Review. In my third year at Drake Law, I served as a judicial extern for Justice McDonald on the Iowa Supreme Court and obtained my student law license to provide legal representation to Des Moines clients through the General Civil Legal Clinic.

Upon graduation, I earned membership to the Order of the Coif. I was admitted to the Iowa bar in September 2022.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends (including my dachshund, Nash), playing pickleball, or traveling.
