I am a member attorney at BrownWinick law firm and am currently a member of the firm's Executive Committee. My practice is primarily transactional, with an emphasis on tax and employee benefits. I have successfully completed the CPA exam, and I often work closely with my clients' accounting team on legal issues. My clients are businesses of varying sizes operating in a variety of different industries. As co-chair of the firm's Women in Business practice group, many of my clients are female business owners in the state of Iowa.

My Approach

My favorite parts of the practice of law are partnering with my clients to solve legal issues interfering with business growth and identifying solutions to help take their business to the next level. I prioritize clear communication, responsiveness, and practical solutions in my work with my clients.

More About Me

I graduated from Iowa State University, with distinction, in 2007, with degrees in accounting and finance. I received my law degree in 2010, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. I graduated from the University of Iowa with the Iowa State Bar Association Outstanding Graduate Award, the University of Iowa College of Law Future Leader of the Iowa Bar Award, and the Willard L. Boyd Public Service Award Highest Distinction. While at the University of Iowa, I was the Executive Editor for the Iowa Law Review and served as Co-President of the Iowa State Bar Association.

I have been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers® in the area of Tax Law and listed as a “Rising Star” in Super Lawyers® in the area of Tax.  I currently serve on the boards of Metro Women Connect and the Iowa Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. I also currently serve on the Board of Directors for CanPlay and the Iowa Law School Foundation.
