Specialties

I'm a Des Moines area native and member at the BrownWinick Law Firm.  As an attorney at BrownWinick there isn't much I haven't done.  I am heavily involved in the banking and litigation areas but represent numerous and diverse clients across a wide range of interests.  I've served as a “utility player” of sorts for many clients in many areas.  I thoroughly enjoy this variety in my practice and I think the broad range of experiences helps me bring new perspectives to client issues.

My Approach

I strive to be a good listener to help my clients achieve their goals.  Every legal relationship must be built on trust and solid communication.  Establish a solid relationship first, then work together to accomplish your goals.  Whether the relationship leads to trial, the negotiating table or strategic planning; I've learned that success comes from trust, communication, and applying creative legal strategies to your unique situation.

More About Me

I received my B.A. from Iowa State University in 1996 and my J.D., from Drake University in 1999.  I was admitted to the bar in Iowa in 1999.  I'm currently a member of the Iowa State and Polk County Bar Associations. I serve on the Polk County Fee Arbitration Committee, the Southeast Polk Education Foundation, a local Bank Board of Directors, and numerous local youth sports boards.
