Specialties

I’m a native of the Des Moines, Iowa area and am an attorney at the BrownWinick Law Firm. Growing up in and around a local small business, I’ve developed a strong passion for relationships, family, and business. In line with my passions, my practice primarily revolves around estate planning, small business and corporate law transactions, and banking. Throughout my educational and working career, I was blessed to work in various areas of the financial services industry including lending, trust and investments, and customer relations. My background in small business and estate planning has lent me a helpful hand in seeking solutions for you, your family, and your business. Getting out of the office and building relationships is my favorite thing to do – so don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be more than happy to get together for a cup of coffee or lunch.

My Approach

As your attorney, I strive to be versatile and assist you with the variety of issues and opportunities that you may face. I understand the importance of teamwork and will work with you and the BrownWinick team to deliver practical solutions with a personalized touch to you, your family, and your business. Throughout my life I’ve been surrounded by great mentors that have taught me that the key to a successful business relationship is trust, service, and responsiveness. Most importantly, I don’t just want to be your attorney, I want to be your friend first, trusted advisor second, and attorney third. I’d love to meet you outside the office or at your place of business to develop a personalized plan for your goals.

More About Me

I started my education at Central College, playing both basketball and golf during my time in Pella. I finished my undergraduate at Iowa State University, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in Finance in 2019. Knowing that I always wanted to practice and live in the Des Moines area, I received my J.D. with highest honors from Drake University Law School in 2022 with a Business Law Certificate. Upon graduation, I earned membership to the Order of the Coif. I was then admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2022.

While at Drake Law, I was the Associate Editor of the Drake Law Review. My student Note, Modernizing Iowa’s Wealth Transfers: Directed Trusts and Decanting, is working through the publication process and will be published in Volume 70 of the Drake Law Review. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy playing golf, visiting Lake of the Ozarks with my family, and attending Iowa State events.
