Katelyn J. Parker

I’m an associate in BrownWinick’s Intellectual Property practice group, where I help clients protect and grow the ideas, brands, and businesses they have built. I work closely with clients to understand their businesses, identify opportunities to protect and leverage their intellectual property, and develop practical strategies that support their broader goals. Whether you’re launching something new, growing an existing business, preparing for a business transaction, or navigating a legal challenge, I aim to provide clear advice and practical solutions that help you move forward.

More About Me

I was born and raised on a farm in a small rural community in Northeastern Iowa. I attended Iowa State University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Biology. Following graduation, I worked as an engineer in product development and manufacturing at large, international engineering companies.

I later attended Drake University Law School, where I graduated with High Honors. During law school, I served as Research Editor for the Drake Law Review, worked as a Legal Writing Fellow, and competed in moot court. I also had the opportunity to serve as an Honors Judicial Intern for a federal district court judge in the Southern District of Iowa. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, exercising, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
