As an associate attorney at BrownWinick, my job is to make your life easier. Because I work hard to understand you and your business, I can offer practical, results-driven advice that is tailored to fit your needs and objectives. In times of stress or adversity, you can turn to me for support and have peace of mind knowing that I am focused on finding the best possible outcomes that lead to your success. Together, we can overcome any challenges you may encounter.
My Approach
My goal is to be your most trusted advisor and fiercest advocate. I work hard to earn your trust, identify and frame the legal issues at play, find efficient solutions, and offer clear explanations and useful guidance. In so doing, I listen first to truly learn about you, your business, the situation at hand, and your goals for the future. I partner with you to develop creative, yet practical, solutions to the challenges you face. No matter what strategy we decide to pursue, I work collaboratively to help navigate you through the process and ensure you feel completely informed. Whether we go to trial or negotiate hard for settlement, I am here to focus all of my knowledge and skill in your service.
More About Me
I grew up in Iowa, but I attended college in New York City at Columbia University. While there, I played Division I basketball and performed independent research as part of the Honors Psychology Program. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology in 2010.
After college, I gained experience in the legal field, first, as a secretary at a large international law firm and then as a paralegal at a boutique bankruptcy firm. I also worked as a judicial intern at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York the summer before attending New York University School of Law. At law school, I earned the NYU Pollack Center for Law & Business SEED Award for Original Research for my work analyzing SEC enforcement actions. After receiving my J.D. in 2017, I began working as an associate at a large international law firm in NYC.
While living in New York, my heart always remained in Iowa. I decided to return home to continue to establish my legal practice because I am passionate about Iowa and its potential. I am admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa and am a member of the Polk County Bar, Iowa State Bar and American Bar Associations and a member of the Polk County Women Attorneys. I am also admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, and a member of the New York City Bar Association.
