Specialties

As an attorney here at BrownWinick, I handle a wide range of legal issues across various industries. My practice is focused primarily on Business and Corporate Transactions, but whatever your legal needs are, I can work with you to find a solution. I was drawn to a career in law because it’s a field that allows me to take a genuine interest in people, find out what’s most important to them, and help them achieve success. In truth, I find it incredibly rewarding to work to help individuals achieve their business and life goals.

My Approach

A good attorney is always a good listener first. In order to serve your needs, I will work to understand precisely what you or your business would like to achieve, and I will do everything I can to help you get there. I will consider all angles and possible issues that may arise while simultaneously brainstorming for a solution. It’s important that you feel we are partners and that if something isn’t clear, you feel you can always ask for an explanation. I pride myself on being responsive, flexible, and approachable in all client relationships. My goal is to provide you with access to the technical expertise needed to understand the law and the necessary counsel to make the right decision for you.

More About Me

I like to say that the Midwest has my heart. Growing up in a military family, I moved around quite a bit. I spent my childhood divided between South Texas and Wisconsin. From that experience, I learned how much I enjoy and appreciate the differences in people. This appreciation has set me up nicely for a career doing something where I get to learn every day and interact with so many different people.

I received my undergraduate education at the University of Missouri – Columbia. In 2019, I graduated from Mizzou with a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology with minors in Sociology and Human Development & Family Science.

I then moved to Chicago, where I attended DePaul University College of Law. I received my J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 2022 and was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2022. During my time at DePaul, I served as a Senior Staff Writer for the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law and as a Senator for the Student Bar Association. While in law school, I completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Charles P. Kocoras from the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Illinois and volunteered with Ascend Justice, a domestic violence legal services organization. In my spare time, you can find me reading a book, rollerblading, or trying to find my new favorite restaurant.
