BrownWinick Partners with Des Moines Leaders to Focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

In collaboration with RSM US LLP, BrownWinick recently co-hosted a community Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion event bringing together several companies from the Des Moines metro area to discuss LGBTQ+ awareness and general DEI best practices in the workplace. The event was a great success, with attendees expressing a strong interest to continue collaboration on DE&I efforts in the future.

BrownWinick attorneys Brian McCormac and Dani Smid were joined by representatives from RSM-Des Moines, Green State Credit Union, Kreg Tool Company, Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI), the Greater Des Moines Partnership, and Sukup Manufacturing.

BrownWinick is committed to promoting a culturally aware and supportive environment both within our Firm and our community. BrownWinick recognizes that differences in age, gender, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, culture, education, socioeconomic status, mental or physical ability, marital and parental status, thinking style, and background bring richness to our work environment and are integral to the success of our colleagues, business partners, and clients.  We strive to create and maintain a working culture where diversity and inclusivity, access, and equity are embraced. Through such efforts as recruitment, development, education, and retention, the Firm endeavors to cultivate an atmosphere where all will feel engaged and welcomed to participate in open discussions, which will, in turn, make the Firm and our community, as a whole, stronger and more dynamic.
