Specialties

As a member of BrownWinick’s litigation group, my job is to help you resolve your disputes. To do so, I will learn about your business so I can effectively advise you throughout the process, whether that’s before a dispute arises or once litigation begins. I will work with you to determine what a successful resolution looks like and identify the most efficient path forward.

My Approach

I understand that litigation can be disruptive to your life and business. My job is to minimize that disruption by providing efficient and practical advice. As your advocate, I will work to understand your goals and challenges, provide accurate analysis, and identify the best result for you as soon as possible.

More About Me

A native Iowan, I graduated from Iowa State University and the University of Iowa College of Law. I began my legal career with two federal clerkships, first with Chief Judge Linda R. Reade of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, and then with Judge Steven M. Colloton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

After my clerkships, I joined a large Des Moines-based law firm where I practiced litigation. More recently, I spent approximately seven years as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa. During my time there, I tried numerous cases to jury verdict and argued several times before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
