Specialties

I’m an immigration attorney who helps employers, entrepreneurs, and researchers navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. I bring a unique blend of experience to bear on employment-based immigration needs, drawing from my experience across government, private sector, and international arenas. My career has taken me from working in-house at a multinational reinsurance company, to serving overseas as a visa officer with the U.S. Department of State, to now advising clients on complex business immigration matters. I’m driven by the opportunity to help organizations and individuals navigate the U.S. immigration system with clarity, strategy, and purpose.

My Approach

I draw on my deep government experience to demystify the visa process and develop immigration strategies that work. During my time at U.S. embassies in Ireland and Brazil I adjudicated thousands of visas. That experience shapes the way I work with clients – I understand how government decision-makers think and I build cases to speak to their priorities. I guide employers on sponsoring employees, tell compelling applicant stories, and manage the risks inherent in the immigration process. With my in-house corporate background, I understand what legal teams and HR professionals need: practical, business-minded immigration solutions that help organizations meet their business goals and minimize risk. Whether I’m advising on PERM, consular processing, or immigration pathways for key-contributors and company leaders, I approach every case as a collaborative effort—shaping strategy with clients and staying responsive to their evolving needs. I enjoy building long-term relationships with clients and making the immigration process a little less intimidating along the way.

More About Me

I’m a proud graduate of Boston College Law School, where I served as vice president of the Law Students Association and articles editor for the International and Comparative Law Review. Before that, I earned my B.A. in Philosophy with distinction from Indiana University Bloomington. I’ve always valued rigorous thinking, which is a through-line in both my academic background and my legal practice.

Professionally, I’ve been recognized in Best Lawyers in America®: Ones to Watch (2025) for Labor and Employment Law – Employee, and I’m an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), sitting on the national Department of State Liaison Committee to directly interface with the department. Outside of law, I enjoy biking, playing board games with my wife, cooking something ambitious that our kids will hopefully eat, and just trying to keep up with my three little ones. I bring the same thoughtful, steady approach to my personal life as I do to my practice – and I feel lucky to work in a field where people’s stories really matter.
