Lauren Maunder

I am an associate attorney here at BrownWinick. My practice is predominantly transactional, focusing particularly on employee benefits, energy, and corporate law. In my work, I prioritize attention to detail and clear, proactive communication. I am committed to helping you navigate the challenges you face and prepare for the future, in both the short- and long- term.

My job is to listen thoughtfully, take stock of your goals, and work tirelessly to meet your legal needs. I endeavor to see all sides of the picture you share with me so that my work is both thorough and tailored to your unique circumstances. My goal, ultimately, is to make your experience with the law a positive one. 

More About Me

I am from Austin, Texas. From there, I studied at Virginia Tech, where I graduated summa cum laude with B.A. degrees in National Security and Russian Language. An interest in government then led me to attend law school at Washington University in St. Louis. During law school, I served as Managing Editor of Operations for the Global Studies Law Review and my work was published in the journal.  

I decided to put down roots here in Iowa because of the friendly culture and excellent quality of life. Having family in the area made the decision even easier. In 2026, I graduated from law school and was admitted to the Iowa bar.  

In my free time, I’m always reading something new. I also love to spend time outdoors, so you can often find me walking, hiking, or going for a run. Outside work, I enjoy running, playing pickleball, and spending time with my family and friends.
