Johnny Ren

As an associate attorney at BrownWinick, I work primarily in the Business and Corporate Law practice group. It is my goal and responsibility to not only to help you solve problems, but also to be someone you can talk to openly and honestly. I aim to find practical solutions catered to your priorities and objectives. 

My Approach

My approach as your attorney is to understand your goals and priorities and to help you navigate through problems in a practical and informed way. Problem solving through legal issues must always consider long-term implications of your solutions. My goal is to understand and communicate to you what problems exist, why they exist, what actions are available, and how they may affect you in the future. Because business decisions most often come in the form of trade-offs of risks and rewards, I am here to do the research and writing to ensure you can make informed decisions catered to your goals. 

More About Me

I was born and raised in Seattle, WA and went to Central Washington University for my undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Psychology. I taught high school history for four years in California and two years in Texas before moving to Iowa to attend Drake University Law School. I graduated in 2025 with honors and had the privilege of serving as Editor in Chief of the Drake Law Review.  

During my spare time I enjoy reading, cooking, and watching Mariners and Seahawks games. Every so often you may see me around Des Moines walking my two dogs, Thunder and Lightning.
