Specialties
I’m an associate attorney at BrownWinick focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, estate planning, and business succession planning. I work with businesses, business owners, and individuals on transactions, planning, and day-to-day legal matters. I have a diverse background that gives me a unique perspective on finding efficient solutions for my clients. I enjoy building relationships and would be happy to connect and discuss how I might be able to help you.
My Approach
As a woodworker, I learned that the order of operations is an important part of efficiently completing a project. I approach legal problems in the same fashion. I’m intentional about asking questions so I can understand your needs and concerns. This approach helps me see the full picture and identify effective solutions that work for you. I enjoy problem-solving and view challenges as opportunities for creative, practical answers. My goal is to keep things straightforward and clear, so you feel informed and confident every step of the way. My hope is that you see me not just as your attorney, but as a friend throughout the process.
More About Me
I was born and raised in Mason City, IA and am proud to call Iowa home. I graduated from UNI in 2011 with a B.A. in psychology. From there, it’s been a circuitous route to beginning my career at BrownWinick. Before starting law school, I was a tour manager for a band, a woodworker, a welder, and an inside sales rep. In 2024, I received my J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law (Go Hawks!). A highlight of my law school career was finishing as a semi-finalist in the International Baseball Arbitration Competition. I was also a finalist in the University of Iowa NCAA Infractions Hearing Competition. When I’m not working, I enjoy golfing, traveling with my wife, tinkering in the garage, and cheering for the Hawkeyes.
