Alternative Delivery Options for Public Owners: How Recent Legislation Will Impact the Landscape in Iowa

Brian's segment will provide an overview of Senate File 183, an Act relating to a Construction Manager at-Risk commercial construction alterative delivery method. He will focus on:

• the delivery process;
• discussing the AIA 133 documents; and 
• how to best educate public owners that they now have choice when building their projects.

During Nate's segment, he will focus on the subcontractor bidding process laid out in Senate File 183.  He will provide important information to companies that will be performing as as Construction Manager at-Risk, and specifically how certain aspects of the legislation might impact labor relations, along with potential challenges to the law.
