Katheryn J. Thorson is a member of BrownWinick and has a general practice including, but not limited to, real estate, agribusiness, estate planning, and corporate and business transactions.
Katheryn graduated from Simpson College, cum laude, in 2010, receiving her B.A. in Political Science and Economics, with a specialization in Finance. While at Simpson College, Katheryn was active in Students in Free Enterprise and the Pre-Law Society.
Katheryn received her J.D. in 2013, with high honors, from Drake University. While at Drake University, Katheryn was a Member of the Moot Court Board, Board Member of the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity, and a Junior Staff Member and Associate Editor of the Drake Law Review. While competing on Drake University's 2013 Client Counseling Team, Katheryn won the 2013 American Bar Association Regional and National Client Counseling Competition and represented the United States at the International Client Counseling Competition in Scotland.
Katheryn is a member of the Polk County and Iowa State Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Polk County Women Attorneys, the Iowa Organization of Women Attorneys and is currently a Board Member of Prevent Child Abuse Iowa. Katheryn was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2013.
