Jennifer E. Lindberg is an associate attorney with BrownWinick. Jennifer practices primarily in the litigation area. She has experience handling cases before state and federal district courts and state administrative agencies. Jennifer has represented clients in various areas including business litigation, healthcare matters, workers’ compensation, employment and labor law, construction law, and agribusiness. She is licensed to practice in Iowa and Illinois state courts, as well as federal courts in Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana.
Prior to joining the BrownWinick law firm in 2018, Jennifer was a Health Insurance Compliance Officer for the Iowa Insurance Division. In that position, she prepared policy initiatives around the Affordable Care Act, developed administrative rules, agency procedures, and assisted in regulatory and compliance matters.
Jennifer previously worked as an associate attorney at the Kanaris, Stubenvoll & Heiss, P.C. law firm in Chicago, Illinois for five years. While there, she focused her practice on commercial litigation, products liability, construction litigation, and professional negligence defense matters. Additionally, she defended manufacturers in various products liability matters throughout the country and represented architects, engineers, and other professionals in actions alleging professional negligence and malpractice.
Jennifer graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a B.A. in English Literature and a Minor in Theatre Arts in 2006; she earned her M.A. in Arts Administration in 2008, also from Saint Mary’s. While attending graduate school, Jennifer worked at Arts Midwest as a Program Assistant for The Big Read, a nationwide literacy initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts.
In 2011, Jennifer earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. She was awarded a certificate in Intellectual Property: Art and Museum Law, and interned at the Chicago History Museum and DePaul Art Museum.
Jennifer was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2011 and the Iowa bar in 2017. She is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa, Northern District of Illinois, and the Northern District of Indiana. She is a member of the Polk County and Iowa State Bar Associations and the Polk County Women Attorneys.
