Adam Van Dike is a member of BrownWinick and practices primarily in the areas of real estate law and creditors' rights. His practice includes a variety of commercial and residential real estate transactions including resolution of issues with city and county representatives, leasing, financing, sale and acquisition of property, platting and site plan approval, closings, zoning and land use, title examinations and eminent domain issues.
Adam has extensive experience in representing creditors concerning their rights and remedies, including mortgage foreclosures and loan workout options. He also has represented borrowers in defending foreclosure actions and other collection efforts stemming from large commercial loan defaults. Adam frequently appears in bankruptcy proceedings on behalf of creditors seeking relief from the automatic stay and other bankruptcy matters.
Adam received his B.A., from the University of Iowa in 1998 and his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2001. Adam was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2001 and is a member of the Polk County and Iowa Bar Associations. He currently serves on the Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section and the Real Estate and Title Law Section at the Iowa Bar Association. Adam has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyer® in the area of real estate law. Adam is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa.
