In our continuing effort to provide clients with the best possible legal services, BrownWinick continues to grow by hiring outstanding attorneys. Our most recent hires are no exception.
James W. White joined BrownWinick as an Associate practicing primarily in the area of litigation. James has experience handling cases before state and federal district courts, state appellate courts, and state administrative agencies. James is licensed to practice in Iowa and Illinois state courts, as well as the Southern District of Iowa and Central District of Illinois federal courts. James has helped obtain successful results for his clients in a variety of cases.
After growing up in Bettendorf, Iowa, James graduated from the University of Iowa, with distinction in 2011, receiving his B.A. in Political Science, with minors in Psychology and Sociology.
In 2014, James received his J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. While in law school, James was a summer intern for Chief Judge Linda R. Reade in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
James is a member of the Polk County, Iowa, Illinois, and Scott County Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Iowa Defense Counsel Association and a member of the Dillion Inn of Court. James has been listed on the Iowa Pro Bono Honor Roll for 2015-2016. He has served as a judge for the Junior High Mock Trial Competition. Alicia R. Nicoletto joined BrownWinick as an Associate and has a general practice including, but not limited to, agribusiness, bankruptcy and corporate restructuring, business and corporate law, corporate finance and securities law, health law, real estate law, startup and taxation law.
Alicia graduated from the University of Iowa in 2013, receiving her B.A. in Accounting.
In 2016, Alicia received her J.D., with highest honors, from Drake University Law School and received a Business Law Certificate. Alicia graduated from law school Order of the Coif. During law school Alicia was an Associate Editor of the Drake Law Review. Alicia also served as an intern for Bankruptcy Judge Anita Shodeen and was a law clerk at Beatty & Miller, P.C., West Bank, and the BrownWinick law firm.
