E-Verify and Immigration-Related Employment Discrimination

Elizabeth Coonan, an attorney at BrownWinick that practices in immigration law, will be speaking on "E-Verify and Immigration-Related Employment Discrimination" at one of the sessions for the 2012 Iowa Employment Training & Benefits Conference. This Conference is scheduled for April 25-26, 2012 at the Prairie Meadows Conference Center, Altoona, Iowa. Beth's presentation is on Thursday, April 26, 2012 and is one of seven presenters for this session, starting at 1:10 p.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m. In her presentation Beth will examine the importance of properly completing the Form I-9, pitfalls associated with the employment verification process, and how to appropriately prepare our organization for an I-9 audit. Beth will also discuss the use of E-Verify and ways to prevent discrimination in the employment verification process.
