Rebecca Brommel, an attorney at BrownWinick, will be speaking on "Document Retention, E-Discovery and Litigation - Using Best Practices to Avoid Sanctions" at the Iowa State Bar Association's June 29, 2011 Law Over Lunch series (via teleconference). 

Becki practices in the area of commercial litigation. She has handled cases before a number of tribunals, including state and federal court and administrative agencies, and involving a variety of industries, including healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing and banking. Becki is a frequent speaker and adviser on document retention and e-discovery issues. She has been a member of the Iowa Bar since 2001. 

This seminar will focus on the best practices associated with your clients' document retention policies and once matters go to litigation, the best practices for handling e-discovery issues. The seminar will also discuss the pitfalls and potential sanctions on failing to follow those best practices.
