This two-day event, sponsored by the Iowa Dental Foundation, allows children and adult patients, regardless of income or previous dental history, to receive free, quality dental care provided by dental professionals. Since the first IMOM in 2008, almost 13,000 patients from all areas of the state and beyond have received free dental care totaling almost $8.5 million.
In addition to the volunteer efforts of dental professionals, hundreds of general volunteers provided assistance in all areas, including set up, child care, patient check in and patent escorting. BrownWinick’s attorneys and staff assisted with these efforts by volunteering as patient escorts and in providing assistance organizing for their needed dental services. BrownWinick attorneys and staff have served as general volunteers at every IMOM since it began in 2008.
