Brennan R. Block is an associate attorney with BrownWinick and has a general business practice including, but not limited to, entity formation, corporate governance, contract drafting, mergers and acquisitions, securities, growth capital, startups, real estate, utilities and environmental law.
Brennan graduated from the Creighton University’s Heider College of Business in 2016, where he received his B. S., magna cum laude, in Business Administration and participated in the 3-3 Pre-Law program.
In 2018, Brennan received his J.D. from the Creighton University School of Law, magna cum laude, with a Business Law Certificate. During law school, Brennan was the Research Editor of the Creighton Law Review. In addition, Brennan received multiple CALI Awards for receiving the highest law school grades in: Taxation of Business Enterprises, Business Associations, Professional Responsibility, Property II, Legal Research & Writing II, Civil Procedure II, and Environmental Law.
During his 2L year of law school, Brennan had his note analyzing the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016 published in the school journal: Note, Nebraska Trade Secret Protection: The Forum Selection Conundrum Facing Trade Secret Owners After the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016, 50 CREIGHTON L. REV. 559 (2017).
Prior to joining the BrownWinick law firm as an associate, Brennan obtained a diverse legal background working as law clerk for Union Pacific Railroad Company’s real estate group, a summer associate for Abrahams Kaslow & Cassman LLP, and as a clerk for Welsh & Welsh PC, LLO.
Brennan was admitted to the Iowa bar in 2018. He is a member of the Polk County and Iowa State Bar Associations.
